Federalism

The concept of Federalism is one that underlies all concepts about the power of government in the US system. Federalism within the U.S is the balancing power between the federal and state governments. The Federalist party was the first American political party. The Federalists controlled the federal government until 1801. Alexander Hamilton built a network of supporters. The U.S constitution establishes a government based on "Federalism". Our power-sharing form of government is the opposite of "Centralized". Federalism has never been an easy task to define. Bringing the states back was fraught with controversey.

BLOG

Federalism is the theory or advocacy of federal principles for dividing powers between member units and common institutions. To me federalism is pretty neat.

The three powers are legislative, judiciary, and executive. The legislative branch comprises the House of Representatives. The judiciary branch makes decisions or various legal cases. The executive branch is powered by the president.

The divison of powers is not owned by any person or persons.

A supremacy clause is the establishment of the U.S. Constitution. It is applied to the federal government when it is acting in pursuit.
