Electoral Process

I am for the electoral process. Some pros are Each elector gets one vote. Thus, a state with eight electors would cast eight votes. There are currently 538 electors and the votes of a majority of them -- 270 votes -- are required to be elected. Since Electoral College representation is based on congressional representation, states with larger populations get more Electoral College votes. See: Electoral Votes From Each State.

Voter Apathy

I would make it easier for candidates to believe that their votes are important. I would make sure that everyone knows what party they are voting for. I think everyone has the right to their own opinion. The lower participation of electoral votes is not right. The electoral issue weakend which is not good. The voter turn out became normal eventually. I think voting has changed since the 1950's because I believe that political observers are less optimistic.

VOTING

1. The growth of the American electorate to it's present size and shape has come in five fairly distinct stages. The two trends described above elimination of voting restrictions and growing federal control over voting are woven through those stages.
2. Nearly every stae does prohibit transients, persons, livign in the State for only a short time, from gaining a legal residence there. THus, a traveling sales agent, a member of the armed services, or a college student usually cannot vote in a State where or she has only a temporary physical residence.
3.Gerrymandering is the practice of drawing electoral district lines (the boundaries of the geographic area from which a candidate is elected to a public office) in order to limit the voting strength of a particular group or party.
4.Another 5 to 6 million citizens were so ill or otherwise physically disabled that they simply could not vote in an election.
5. The study of American Electorate, a non partisan research organization that studies the causes of declining voters participation and looks for solutions. Voting is a religious act. Each citizen must come to believe that despite the thousands of elections that are not decided by one vote his or her vote does make a difference.
6. You vote weeks before the election. You can obtain a registration form.

The Boston Tea Party is not as cool as the Third Party.  The differences are the Boston Tea Party was in Boston.

Democratic and Republican Parties

Democrats have stood for the idea that wealth and status should not be an entitlement to rule.  Democrats stand for an abiding faith in the judgment of hardworking American families, and a commitment to helping the excluded, the disenfranchised and the poor strengthen our nation by earning themselves a piece of the American Dream. We remember that our country was sculpted by immigrants and slaves, their children and grandchildren. I really don't know what political party I'd be in.

Federalism

The concept of Federalism is one that underlies all concepts about the power of government in the US system. Federalism within the U.S is the balancing power between the federal and state governments. The Federalist party was the first American political party. The Federalists controlled the federal government until 1801. Alexander Hamilton built a network of supporters. The U.S constitution establishes a government based on "Federalism". Our power-sharing form of government is the opposite of "Centralized". Federalism has never been an easy task to define. Bringing the states back was fraught with controversey.

BLOG

Federalism is the theory or advocacy of federal principles for dividing powers between member units and common institutions. To me federalism is pretty neat.

The three powers are legislative, judiciary, and executive. The legislative branch comprises the House of Representatives. The judiciary branch makes decisions or various legal cases. The executive branch is powered by the president.

The divison of powers is not owned by any person or persons.

A supremacy clause is the establishment of the U.S. Constitution. It is applied to the federal government when it is acting in pursuit.

Anti Obama Sign

I really don't think there is anything wrong with putting signs up, because everyone has their own opinion. I mean I don't necessarily think it's right, but it's not wrong either. The only part I don't like is how out of control the situation has gotten.
